A Sunday Stroll

Finally decided to brave the cold. As a rule of thumb the bluer the sky, the brighter the sun, the colder it is. Parc Jean Drapeau. Just happened to also be the ‘FĂȘtes des Neiges’. Families, tourists partaking in outdoor winter activities. You could identify the tourists by their lack of winter gear, dripping noses and exclamations of how cold it was.

Toddlers running to and fro, oblivious of the cold.

Teenagers, too cool to look cold. Their jackets open showing skin. I guess it is the hormones that keep them warm.

Away from the crowd, the snow creaked under my boots. The sun blinded me. It was easy to observe the swift current and its opposite. The sound of floating ice rubbing against the shoreline.

Finished the walk with a warm wine that tasted like sweet grape drink. Not what I expected it, but it did warm up the insides that were starting to feel the cold.
